Dude, just take your DD hatch. I'm not going to be taking you guys up any hardcore trails and if you don't want to go up the trail then usually they come back down to the road anyway. my buddy thats going in his yellow wagon, its his DD even though he has 15" wheels and tires on it he doesn't want to break it or bash it up. when i first started wheelin both my wagons had 13" tires and wheels on them and i only went on stuff that i thought i could make and hey theres always reverse. i do have some aggressive 13" tires and wheels we could put on at our meeting place that you could use for the trip.
  2. got mine in the mail today, looks very nice. thanks chaz

NICE PICTURES!!!! your sooby is looking much better now. did you have to do any trimmimg? do you know how far the snowline is up there? we'll see if that is anywhere close to the places i go. some of the trails on the colton side that i go on are alittle rough, not sure if you can make it without an lsd or a locked rearend but there some places that are good trails. but, hey we can always just go exploring too. we'll definately have to try and make it to the top though, i haven't been up there since last year.

Do you know what kind of snorkle your mate is running on his 88 wagon? is it home made or is it one that normally fits a different rig moded to fit the sooby? it looks like a safari snorkle from ARB. thanks, Chaz
  5. ordered and payed for mine back in December and still waiting. PMed him back in January and again in early Febuary finally got a PM back saying that he had other people say they never got theirs and that he would send some out from the second batch. But i haven't seen one yet. Chaz
  6. well its nice to see that i'm not alone in this stuation, even though i upset that this is a problem. i odered and payed for mine back on the 18 of dec., i PMed him in the middle of january with no reply then i Pmed him again the first of feb. this time i got a reply that said he had sent it out but that i was not the only that didn't get one and he was making a second batch that would be sent out soon. WELL, I'M STILL WAITING AND ITS ALMOST MARCH AND BY THE PICTURES HE POSTED OF THE CALENDER MY CAR WAS THE MONTH OF JANUARY! THAT REALLY SUCKS, THAT MONTHS GONE NOW!!!

did you guys go up??? i'm kinda screwed for this coming weekend to, need to work on my 84'. thats the problem with subarus the gearing sucks, alot of the times you have to blast to get over stuff. as far as fitting 27" you will probably have to do alittle trimming, on my 84' those tires started out as 25.5" and i had to do just a very small amount of trimming to get them to not rub. just at the bottom of the fenders at the end of the well openings but i could use about another 1/2-1" of lift which i'm going to try and do that would make it more of the stock lift height.

SWEET!!!!! Ya, 14" fit better without alot of mods and if you have the factory suspension cranked up it works real well without much for mods. thats what i put on my 84 wagon just did a little trimming on the fender at the end of the wheel wells, no kick panel hammering like i did on my 86 but then i have way more tire on it then the 84. here a flex pic of my 84 during a camping trip a couple of years ago, which will hopefully be back on the road soon.

yee haa, awesome! lots of fun! went up to my parents above eagle fern park on sunday they about a foot or more. they drive way was untouched until i got ! there at 1,400 FT. elevation.
  12. ya it wasn't bad at all but i don't know what it would have been like on top, i'm sure it would have been windy up there and probably up the hillock burn side. ya i only got some group still shots its so hard to get action, my son doesn't like to take pictures because he hasn't mastered the action shot and plus he likes to ride in the car then stand outside and watch.
  13. No but im sure we could have. if people wouldn't have broken down so early. there was 10 of us and 3 jeeps, 2 toyotas, a sami, chopped fullsize monster truck chevy, me, a stocker bronco II and a stocker early 80's full size ford truck. all 3 jeeps broke something so once they we're done we all headed back down.
  14. Whoops, i just noticed i said corbet. DUH! Colton, Corbet is no where near Goat Mtn. what an idiot!
  15. wasn't windy on the Colton side of Goat was actually quite pleasant, still had some spoty ice though but lots of fun. didn't get many pictures. no action shots but need to get some to update my gallery.
  16. Nice wagon you got, looks good.
  17. Sounds good, ya i need to get going too. need to go out and find all my gear out in the garage. have fun and i'll see you next time. keep the shiny side up.
  18. ya, it might be but i'm going to go and check it out. not sure if i want to drive clear to TSF today, Goats close and if it nasty ill just go over to my parents and visit with them and may check out my 84 wagon to make sure it hasn't frozen yet. my schedule is a little more open now so if i don't end up seeing you guys today then we'll be hitting the trails together next time. HEY BTW. Happy New Year!
  19. hey guys, im going up to Goat Mtn. with some of my hard core wheelin guys i know through work. we are heading up from the Corbet side Meeting @ Corbet High School @ 10:00. i haven't replaced my axle thats been clicking for a couple of months yet so maybe i'll do it in on this trip. if you guys make it out have fun, if you want to meet us up there i gave you the meeting place. otherwise we'll get together next time.
