  1. pays to replace all those hoses at the same time, and take the manifold off to do the one that goes under, then u know its on properly
  2. bear in mind that that is only true if you dont need the wastegate actuator to line up with the holes. to get mine where i wanted it, I had to modify the bracket.. cut and shut it.
  3. so are these 'delta' cams, ground for N/A use?? if so why do you use them on a turbo motor. also, does anyone know for sure if the jap spec cams are different to US.
  4. mine was being a right bastard too, but i sprayed it from all angles with inox (a water dispersant ) and after letting it sit for ages, it slid right off,
  5. its street legal as long as the foot isn't planted in 2nd gear and its wheelspinning all over the road haha . it does look rather amusing
  6. haha yea, the old RX chassis, in stock form is a little inadequete btw , anyone else find with the constant box, (with open center but rear lsd) .. full throttle around a corner with a reasonable amount of grunt.. in the rain = snap oversteer? :-p
  7. yea absolutly love the dualrange , i was so so so so stupid to buy a lib(legacy) without it... i didnt realise till after that the Gen2 lib (legacy) had an optional dual range.. i DEFINATLY would have not bought it and waited for something that did have it instead! its so awesome , ive tried "accidently accelerating at the same time as another car" in low and high range, and u can sometiemes use it to ur advantage
  8. holy crap ! i had no idea u had any turbo SOHC EJs . I kinda wish we did here then i could turbo my N/A legacy (liberty) simply, without swapping to an EJ20 MOrganM: thats funny, i accidently ended up on efnets subaru channel the other day, and was talkin to some guy with a wrx. (im normally in #subaru on austnet) , might autojoin on both servers
  9. yea he's coming on the board soon as i remember to link him hah, his car was up for sale but its being retuned with a new ECU now so... PS... 160hp for the turbo legacy???? what the?. they were just shy of 200 here and would be more likely to make 130hp on a chassis dyno, so how the hell are they making that same sorta figure if the cars are 'stock' you must have weird 4wd dynos over there :-p , or someones pulling a leg with the 160 business
  10. Whos car? interesting graphs btw, how much crank HP does a turbo legacy have over there?? about the only "bone stock" wrx ive seen to make 160hp is an 03 model,
  11. well a stock WRX tends to pull between 95-110kw , the higher being typical of a 'shootout' run, so because of that im leaning more towards 200. but again it hadnt peaked. giving us not 1 but 2 points of speculation next monday i can hopefully get a spot on the dyno again to fix that lean out ( to answer your question it's a simple matter of changing the fuel map on the microtech ECU ) , and if it hits 100kw ill be happy with that. and happy to say it has at least 200 at the fly.
  12. doh, i meant to say around 200 not 220 , ill edit it 126 at the wheels , the graph isnt meant to back up that statement . as theres no peak figure , and u have to speculate drivetrain losses because no one ever agree's with eachother, and dynos differ from place to place THAWA: Vf12 (RHB5) , works pretty well, not to much lag
  13. well if it helps, I have 'around' 200 [< edit sorry] , now , with stock cams (but a jap motor so i still dont know if they differ), aftermarket ECU , FMIC, header, larger turbo, and about 12-14psi (made 94kw at all four at 12psi but was quite obviously going to make more if not for for aborting the run) . speaking of which here is the graph finally . 4th gear, 4WD . aborted early.. note the air-fuel ratio and youl see why essentially you shouldnt need to touch the cams IF they are the same, especially since im only pushing "relativly" low boost. Holding 15-16psi all the way to redline should be fine before you start having to push crazy amounts of boost and not get any meaningfull gains in output so perhaps stage one could involve not having to touch the motor at all.. ?
  14. nice work and yes, what is lot's of boost ?
  15. your not givin up on that one are you who do u actually want to answer the question?
