  1. If you have a car that came with air suspension, you already have a small compressor and tank inside the drivers side fender:D Still haven't decided what to use mine for yet
  2. Cracked head, cracked case (rare, but I have seen them) or improperly torqued HG will cause what you are seeing
  3. Gotta agree with that. I will be adding some sort of grounding kit to the wagon soon. Every timeI tear it apart, the ground problems get worse. Especially noticable in a car with a digidash.
  4. I used the downpipe (2 piece) and midpipe. The axleback does not fit at all. Some have used the same stuff I did with no trouble.. I had to do a little heating and bending to get mine to fit. Right now it ends right at the rear diff, but sounds good:D
  5. Yup, thats what I did. I found a guy on NASIOC that has made an unsuccessful attempt at gutting his uppipe. Since the pipe itself was so thrashed, he gave it to me. Cut the flange off and threw the rest away.
  6. Excellent. I have a set of XT injectors I can have off and in a box within 20 minutes of hearing the word go from you. BTW, when working with a pulmonologist, I learned that the average person can't blow more than 1.5 psi in a small volume tube;)
  7. The connector for the injector on an SPFI car should be about 4-5 inches from where the wires come out of the injector (this is all from memory from when I replaced my injector on my 90 loyale about 2 years ago. IIRC, I paid about $1.50 from the tacoma PAP for the injector.
  8. Yup, those are tranny cooler lines. No need for them in your car.. I just installed an aftermarket 2 core and it came with them as well. May use them for an oil cooler if thats feasible
  9. Let me know when you're done.. I have a few sets of injectors I want cleaned and flowed. Might help pay off your investment a little;)
  10. Sunroof glass is real easy. Once you get the plastic covers off, there are 3-4 10mm nuts per side to remove, then the glass lifts right out. Watch out for the shimsthat come out with it. Overall, it only takes 10-15 minutes to change the glass.
  11. but.. but... but.. Mine came with a little magnet on it to stick the jar to the side of the car:-p
  12. I have a spider too, but its on the spare motor in the garage:-p
  13. One man bleeder.. Its a little bottle with some hose.. autozone - $5.99
  14. Hank. I have to wonder how it can be such a terrible thing to have no EGR when Subaru built a number of their EA82s without them. I currently own 2 EA82s with no EGR ports on the heads.
  15. 86 ECU won't work. any 87-90 Turbo EA82 ECU will work though. I may have one more spare here, But I'm not sure. I'll check as I unpack (just moved last weekend)
  16. 1 - If you have a 'hatchback and not a '3door' then as far as I know, the XT6 caliper will not bolt right up in the front. I have them on an EA82 car, but even then its in conjunction with XT6 spindles 2 - You can upgrade to rear discs easily. YOu could even use XT6 parts, but that would change the rear bolt pattern to 5 lug 3 - Correct 4 - Correct for the most part. The offset of the pugs is a bit different than stock (+20 IIRC) but if you are trying to keep an overall stock diameter, that won't matter.
  17. That would be my guess.. The symptoms don't really sound like a bad radiator.. My bad soob rads have always given me trouble at highway speeds, not cruising around town so much.. First thing that realy comes to mind is a bad Tstat or radiator cap.
  18. I have none of the timing belt cover pieces on my wagon. not even the rears behind the cam sprockets. I just used the seam between on the cam case to line up on.,
  19. a little dab of grease will help stick the rockers in place while you assemble everything.
  20. what computer work.. It doesn't require a diagnosis machine to retrieve codes.. so no computer there. The ECU will automagically stop giving you a CEL when the faulty sensor/input is repaired/replaced, so no computer work there.. you are getting screwed
  21. Not that I'm aware of. with the 3AT and the 5MTs on the older soobs, there is absolutely NO input from the trans to the ECU that I know of. And none that I have seen in the FSMs I'm using an ECU from an auto car in my 5 speed car that was originally automatic.. The part number is the same as my spare ECU that came from a manual car.
  22. Privided it is the same fuel system, there is no difference.
