  1. You should be able to attach them to the board. That would provide a long term storage spot.
  2. Ditto what Olnick said. You should be able to plug an OBD2 reader into it.
  3. So you feel the car lurch when it's in park or drive? Does it happen immediately after you put the car in park? Or does it take some time?
  4. That sucks that the legacies got plastic....they yellow and turn nasty over time.
  5. Has the transmission fluid been changed/flushed recently? You may want to start with that. Have you tried putting the gear selector in 1 and seeing if you get more then one wheel peeling. Torque split will be 50/50 when the gear selector is physically in 1, and possibly 2. Are you having someone watch on the outside to see if the rear wheels are going? Also, you don't have LSD, so if you're only looking at one side, the other side could be spinning. josh
  6. What format are they in? You should be able to attach them to this post.
  7. One of the engineers at work put a set of train horns under the body of his wife's excursion. One of the mechanical guys helped him size an air tank for a 2 second burst.
  8. http://www.main.experiencetherave.com:8080/subaru_manual_scans/1990_Legacy_Owner_Manual_Scans/118.jpg http://www.main.experiencetherave.com:8080/subaru_manual_scans/1990_Legacy_Owner_Manual_Scans/119.jpg You can d/l the whole manual in pdf if you want. http://www.main.experiencetherave.com:8080/subaru_manual_scans/1990_Legacy_Owner_Manual_Scans/ It's for a 90, but should be the same/similar.
  9. Pretty sure the US models got plastic, not glass. I know this is the case for the legacies.
  10. When I pulled mine I used a chain, and connected it to the loop/plate that the alternator bolt goes through, and the hole on the back. There may be a pic or two in these pics http://www.main.experiencetherave.com:8080/subaru/images/ej22t/
  11. You may want to post in the meet & greet forum, the legacycentral bbs, and the northwest forums on nasioc.
  12. Do you know how the old temp sensor is wired up? I would assume if they're wired similarly you could use it.
  13. Rebuilding a motor and doing it right isn't overly cheap. Most people aren't going to have the tools & skills, so they'd just rather replace it. I rebuilt my ej22t this past summer and subaru motors are a little more complicated then your standard inline engine IMO.

  15. Try a local junkyard or online www.superrupair.com http://www.4subarusuzukikiaparts.com/
  16. Thanks for the explanation. I haven't decided what my final turbo plans are, but I'll keep you in mind.
  17. What year 2.2 legacy? The owner's manual says not to run 5w30 if you drive at highway speeds, higher rpm for long periods of time. Hogweed, care to elaborate why 10w40 is the worst oil?
  18. Shouldn't be too bad. You should be able to drop the driveline, pull the seal, put a new one back in, and reassemble.
  19. If it fits a later model subaru, it should fit your 90 legacy. Be aware that you will lose the controls for cruise control, and the horn may not be right....things to keep in mind.
  20. Not sure what to tell you. Have you called the dealer to ask for a wiring diagram? You can d/l wiring diagrams from subaru http://techinfo.subaru.com
  21. It sounds like a faulty coolant temp sensor. The only reason I can see them thinking it's the FPR is that it's not keeping the pressure built up, but I'd suspect the coolant temp sensor over the fpr.
  22. What sort of info are you looking to know about the transmission? You should be able to swap a WRX motor into your car. You'll have some wiring issues, but it should bolt up.
  23. Just a quick question about the description on your website "The VF34 is similar to the VF30 but has improved spool up due to roller bearing design. This is the standard turbo on the New Age Sti RA Spec C. This turbo yields good throttle response and mid and top range power. It also uses a ball-bearing center section, which reduces friction and positively locates the shaft-wheel assembly to improve spool up and avoid turbo failure. " How are the bearings configured to utilize both roller bearings & ball bearings?
