I think I have one on my computer at home, I'm check tonight and E-mail it if I do -
Welcome aboard man, I'm down in New Castle, but work in Glenwood. Nice to see someone else from the valley on the board! Good score on the wagon! gotta love those $40'ers! What do you mean some days skis are better? Which days? like Wednesdays? I'm not buying in!

Thanks for the info, unfortunately with the price of shipping the diff I was looking at out of my budget. DAM!
-
Anyone know the weight of an LSD? What have you paid to ship one of these? Just looking for ball parks as zip to zip shipping will obviously vary. Thanks, Roc

I just sold a set of 5 504 14 steels with 16 lugs for $100. But you have to weigh the price with the availablity of the wheels, if they're hard to find it might be worth it to pay $35 ea. Most yards only charge about $15 for wheels, Pug or other, but out here you almost never see Pugs on the road or in the yards.
-
The pug 504 & 505 wheels have the same 4x140 hole pattern but the 504's use the washered lugs that have a self centering washer on them. If you don't have these washered lugs the wheels won't be centered on the hub. The 505's will work with either the 505 lugs or Subaru lugs. That is the Steels will work with Subaru lugs, the alloy's need the pug lugs

Are you asking about the price of the transplant, or the price of the engine FOR the transplant?
-
Your wheel is safely tucked away in my garage, I'm still trying to come up with a lug option but it's looking grim. You guys gettin out and playin in the rain? your cars look pretty clean in those pics

"Wasteland thought it was a rare factory option when he first saw it." Hey, I was drunk that week:drunk:! That is a killer Mod can't wait to see it lifted with those 225's!

I'll be in "Rustpig", my '85 Brat, if it makes it over the passes! -
The last clutch I did I pulled the motor out, cut out all of the emissions, replaced the oil pan gasket, clean the engin comp, did the clutch, and put it all back together.

New EA-82, idling rough...
Wasteland replied to Singlecoil's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
Is the emissions system still intact? It might be a vac leak. Take a can of carb cleaner and hose down the intake etc. while it's running, if it stumbles, you got a vac leak. -
I've got a '83 ea81T and want to do some homework on it, but all of my manuals say to take it to the stealership. Even my '83 FSM has nothing on it. So where can I get more info on the system, is there a FSM supplement book? Or any other manuals that are turbo specific?
-
Rad! thats what I thought, didn't want to sell some one wheels that didn't work! Thanks for the reply, Roc
-
Edrach brought up a good question on a market place post. So I guess I need some answers befor I sell any wheels. I have some steels off a Pug 504, the ones with the soild centers that use the washered lugs. Now I thought the that they worked as long as you have the lugs to go with it. Is that true or have I been drinking too much again? These wheels had 175/70/r14's on them so I'm pretty sure that they're not metric. But will they work on a Soob? Thanks, Roc

Thanks for the beta guys, I guess I'll have to stifle my cheap skate nature and scoop this one up.

I just found a LSD in a JY today but they want $150 for it! I've been looking for one for almost 2 years now and this is the first I've seen in that time, but dam thats alot of cash! So what do you guys think, is it worth it? Thanks for any input, Roc

Ya! some random local I met at a outside concert two Saturdays ago gave me a '83 turbo wagon! It ran like crap so his mother-in-law put a reman. turbo unit on and it still ran like crap so he says "tow it away and it's yours"! I picked it and a signed title up today. It starts but won't stay running, normal rust for this area, auto with power steering and AC. The trans and steering rack are going, I've got a 4spd D/R and a manual rack that are going in and the AC will be converted to on board air in the Brat. YA FREE SOOBS RULE!!!!! :headbang:

how can you tell if you have hydro lifters?
Wasteland replied to SkankinPickle's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
What year is it? '85 and up should be hydro. but theres a silver tag on the valve cover that reads "do not adjust valves" most of the time they are covered in mud and old oil so you might have to do some scraping -

A GL10 with no rust would be killer, it just depends on how deep you want to go with drivetrain swaps and such. I'll keep you posted on stuff in my area. I do Mtn bike but I haven't been out alot this year, I've been spending more of my time on the river although the flow sucks this year! But man I love Loma! Except "More Fun" you can have that one! I talked to a guy at 18road in the spring that had a late 80's wagon with a custom cut moon roof and all kinds of bike racks on it. Josh I think his name was. He was talking about Scorpion lifts and stuff, but I don't think he was a board member. You know him? -

Hey Dustyrider, I'm not to far from you, right up I70, and always find killer deals on Soob's. I know of a few right now but it's too early in the wheelin/dealin stage to give more onfo. I'll let you know if something comes up thats too good to pass up. Also call the G.J.P.D. and ask about impound auctions, they usually do them in April and September and will run an ad in the Sentinel. I've grabed huge deals through these auctions. Oh and welcome aboard! it's nice to see another western sloper!
