  1. with the mr2's the cars body are designed for something like that and the body shape allows for the flow of air around the vehicle to make it where it needs to go but doing something like that with a brat might not work so well....what if while driving the brat breaks the wind high enough that there wount be hardly any air flowing down to the bed there....would probably need a big scoop or something.......anyone have a wind tunnel we can do some testing in? ? just some thoughts.
  2. going to go with the liberator AT's for the cheapness factor while im still using it as my daily driver and then once its back to a project car will get some good mud tires....what size should i go with though? 205, 215, 235? Want them as big as possible while still being able to get up hills without too much trouble and would rather bash than cut as much as possible.
  3. would 215/75/15 be too big? what would that diameter come out to be in inches?
  4. im looking for something thats going to be good offroad yet still descent on highways and such....like playing in the mud and have a few friends that know of some good spots if it ever rains...hopefully wont be my daily driver for long but for now need some tires that wont kill me on the highways

  6. in for a moderate ea82 lift...pm sent.
  7. yeah well the idea is to have it not look like some ghetto hackjob...dont mind the wagon looking like a beater or anything....just dont want it to be too redneck looking. what are the tire dimensions i will be looking for with the 15" rims if im going to get some 27"s or somewhere close?
  8. k thanks for the advice...already have the 15" rims and will be sticking to them...will probably go with some 27"s because i do alot of up hill driving living in the city of Cedar Hill. Ive got a friend who just graduated from Wyotech doing body work so will probably hire him to cut the fenders out and see if he can get them nice and round and will probably find some universal black plastic fender trim and trim the edge off or something.

im looking for some tires for my 1987 subaru 4wd gl wagon. I got a set of 15" pug alloy rims and now just need to figure out what tires to put on them. I plan on doing the mild 3" lift because i dont want to have to do any cutting or custom fabbing or anything so what type and size tires should i go for? trying to avoid cutting but dont mind bashing and can cut the fenders if i have too. This will still be my daily driver for a while but want some mean looking tires that will do well offroad and still be bareable on the highways and such. THANKS ALREADY FOR THE HELP!!
  10. yeah, business is business...and its not like you were jumpig into the offroad old subaru area expecting masses of customers or anything, i personally appreciate anyone who will take some time every once in a while to produce something for our odd habit. any pics of the rear tube bumpers and any prices? like i said really interested in bumpers but dont want a front tube bumper and square rear bumper. even if they are drawings or something...or explaination of the fitment...like do they wrap around or stuff like that.
  11. your so shady, shady.... but you seem to have some good stuff so...any answer to my quiestion...rear tube bumpers maybe??
  12. so which front bumpers is this buy for? are you all planning on making rear tube bumpers to match your new front tube bumpers? really like the front tube bumpers but dont want tubes in the front and squared in the back ya know? how much shipped to 75104 for a rear bumper with reciever?
  13. really want a lift as well but price is a factor so lets see how much of a discount comes out of this....and also need to find some pugs or 15" wheels of some sort for around $200 and under...dont want to lift it up and still have my 13"'s with the low profile tires....already looks bad enough.
  14. so was watching the simpsons and one of the cops got out to direct traffic and they said something along the lines of look at him tease that subaru....well....i thought it was cool.
  15. lol well now that I got a VW Scirocco im going to offroad the subaru..still would like to lowride one but waiting till someone is ready to part with a turbo wagon. do need tie rods pretty bad though...and even after re-adjusting everthing am getting around 17mpg and would like some help tring to get it to at least 20ish or more.

  20. alright will stop by the autoparts store and pick some up tomorrow....any other suggestions?
  21. So my car is stalling every time im not accelerating. It doesn't always do this, every once in a while it wont do it...randomly...I have tried to figure out some sort of pattern as to when it descides to stall out and when it doesn't but there doesnt seem to be any sort of pattern or condition. lso, usually on cold mornings I can floor it in first and it will take about 2-3 mins to get going, same for 2nd and so on...all and all takes me about 6-8mins to get up to 60mph....seriously. Some times its so bad I will be in first going up a hill and will loose all power and have to shut it off, start up and try again, once had to start my car 4 times on one hill. Also, I am getting about 10-12 mpg now....not fun. HELPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP PLEASSSSSSSEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  22. lol....have waded through countless posts on here and on naisonic.....and still know very little about what all is required to swap out an EA82 with an EJ motor. can anyone direct me to the proper reading material or explain the process to me? Am in college taking mechanics classes so still learning but learn pretty fast and work well....what do I need to know/do/have to do this swap?
  23. yeah those are looking pretty sexy.....any way to get some pics of the new tubed bumper and the skidplate on your lifted wagon that has the snorkle and your 15" wheels? Any prices on those new sexy tube bumpers yet?
  24. like the oil sender/gauge.....looks like it puts it in a much nicer place....really will help with making a much simpler skid plate that would essentially fit much more nicely.
