Actually, I think that is a paved road- or if not, it is dirt- but beware- dont go rallying around too fast, there is traffic on those roads, including Forest Rangers (Police)! but those FS roads are public roads unless gated off (usually open unless closure due to snow/washout) I have taken a few motorcycle trips on those roads recently, they are quite nice in that area

Depending on the status of my wagon, I might come to this- If I don't wheel, I would love to catch a seat in someone else's and I would be happy to take lots of photos/video of all the carnage!!! just like "old times" Yeah, I remember "HPSS1" I had the "towtrucklight" wagon.... and Noah followed me all the way home to make sure I made it there with my broken/missing axles

Is this going to be a community USMB effort paint job? Maybe I should put each panel on the car "up for grabs" and each member can donate paint, vinyl, glue, sticky tape, glitter or whatever they wish to stick onto the car.... ok, maybe not at this time.... however, Tex- that vinyl idea sounds pretty cool....

Yes, It is quite plain right now.... Let me recover my bank account from this one, and soon it will become, possibly, "Waterwagon III" or something of the sorts but as for WCSS11, Maybe some stickers or odd hot-pink colored accessories will be in order

if you have a mac with system 10.5.6, then use the widget "translate" and just type it in... works for me so far (aka google is your friend)

Hmm... I see the message board is back up I have my DL parked at Smart Service Mukelteo right now, getting an inspection, and it will also be up there if anyone who is interested in buying it wants to see it they can! I am out of the country right now, but should be back right at the beginning of December.... anyone who is interested should leave me an email or leave a message and number at smart service and I will get back to you when I return! btw, I Noah and I got the engine all fixed up and retuned, so its runnin like a champ now!

Come to Carter Subaru in Shoreline (just north of seattle) they have a MINT white 1970 Van, just parked in the shop... the owners have decided that they dont want it on the show room anymore so it is for sale now.. they have not listed it anywhere as far as I know, but if you come up here I bet you can get it for a decent price! trust me, this one is nice!

I do belive it has been repainted.. according to the dealer, when they got it back from the first owner back in the day, they put a bunch of new stuff on it, and then stuck it in the showroom, where it sat for over 10 years.. (inside, out of the weather ) so yeah, techically its not ORIGINAL, but hey, its still pretty darn close!

Anyone interested? its going to be on "Display" soon (Likley at the Smart Service Mukelteo location, and for sale.... best offer ) (yeah, life changes as usual.. need some cashola, and I would like to see this car in the hands of a true collector its too nice to "use up")

Well, I am not posting it for sale.. but as things go, it would be nice to clear some of my other debt thats been floating around me... (so if anyone really wants it, I will consider offers ) thanks guys! pictures of the inside soon...

Without admitting anything, I am just curious to see how much this mint little 76 DL wagon I picked up could be worth anyone have any opinions? comparisons? runs and drives almost flawlessly, paint and body in near-showroom condition, interior almost the same- everything functions... EA63 engine with the FWD 4spd, new tires, brakes and exhaust... Just curious to "what you would pay" for something like this... oh, and I will get pics of the interior and close ups of the rest of the car.. there is actually a small rust spot... below the battery in the engine bay on another note, I think its getting around 30 to 35+ mpg!!! I have driven it from shoreline to bellevue, to issaquah and back like.. 2 or 3 times now, and I still have not had to fill it back up!

Well, if you dont know this already, I have been working at Carter Subaru for some time now... and yes, it is Carter's *First* car sold, back when they opened in 76, they have had it on the showroom floor for probably like 10 years now.. but they finally got tired of looking at it... or something? yeah.. they posted it up for sale, and of course, I was there at the right time to make it happen before the other shop kids got ahold of it and yes, it shal remain stock... its too pretty to modify!

Yeah, I have been subaru-less for almost a year, up until this past weekend, when I managed to aquire my first gen-1 beast! (or more like, collector wagon!!) this thing is MINT! I wil have more pictures to post soon, I have been busy with uploads to my gallery due to being away from the internet for a month- but now I have a subaru worthy of owning a bottle of wax for Moosens, where are you? I may have some questions for you! 1976 DL 1400 FWD 4spd wagon! the ODO says ~19,900 miles and I belive it! the interior is nearly flawless! it has a ding in the tailgate, and some minor rust spots along the bottom edges of some of the typical spots... it has the factory AM radio, (still works!) and all of the gizmos still work and are stock!!! runs and drives great! (although, has trouble getting up to 60+mph) I will be hanging out at XXX in issaquah now and then, so if you are there, look for me at the classic car shows! now if I can just remember how a carburator works... :-p ~!!!
