  1. Hello, I have a Legacy and when I release the trunk, I hear only a click (latch release) the trunk will not raise by itself from that position. I have purchased New Subaru Trunk Torsion Bars for it and going to put them on, but I need to know the correct positioning of the contact between the Torsion Bar and the Swivel Lever it attaches to. The the Bend in the Torsion Bar Correct (Like attached Image) or the other way? On my car now the bend is in the same position. The guy at Subaru said there is a Driver Side(L) and Passenger® does the one that is driver mean that the s part goes in the driver side or the part that presses on the lifting portion I hope this makes sense Thanks for any help you can give.
  2. Today I did a funny thing because of the way I built the back for my car I ruined everything and anything that was stock. I wanted to do a center exit but it was too much complexity. So I cut a hole in my already insane trunk. Another View Then i Welded in some hangers Checked the exit Pulled it all apart and welded everything I will redo this all mendrel bent pipes soon Back View This is going to have a legeacy resonator installed too with no cats. Shouldnt be too loud with EA82 But with Ej205 i am sure it will suck haha
  3. I was rear ended and I can't get my trunk to close. Latch is not warped or anything and I replaced the bumper. I'm guessing it's the lock on the trunk. Can anyone help me find a replacement in Northern California? I am willing to travel any distance as long as I can find this. Pick n pull in the Bay Area has no sedans only wagons.
  4. I'm trying to track down a vehicle option that I've only ever seen once before. My brother wants one for his OBW, but I can't seem to find any record of them even existing. In my 1997 legacy outback limited there was a hard plastic cargo organizer/tray. It was about 8-9 inches deep and had removable dividers. It filled/covered the entire floor of the hatch area. This was in addition to the rubber/plastic giant floor mat at everyone has in their outback. This bin/organizer/tray/whatever sat on top of the normal mat. It was stamped with SUBARU. It came from the dealer. It was awesome. I have never seen another like it and I can find no mention of it in any searches. Does anyone know what I'm talking about? it just occurred to me that I've been referring to this thing in the past-tense. I still have it. It is has been made to fit my forester. If it will help, I can brave the frigid cold and try to clear all of the junk out of it and get a picture.
