1st annual Subaru Brat Meet Washington State

Featured Replies

A couple years back There was an RX meet in Seattle, A few of us where talking about having a a Brat meet in Washington, to bring out all the Brats............... Brian Bill and I thought It would be a good Idea. Just want to know if anyone else is interested in doing this. I think it would be kick rump roast to get a ton of brats together for a meet................

Also Location........... I think that Ellensburg would be a perfect place for it........... the most central Point in the State............ And a date.........

Let's hear what everyone thinks!!!!

And if there has been a Washington State Brat meet before I can change the Header to something else.............................

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Anyone can show up in any Subaru that they want......................
Hi Jeff This is Jerry, yes i am in for it just let me know when. I think my hatchbrat comes close to a brat. Thanks Jerry
Would this include Idaho BRAT's too?
Cuz I'm lonely over here and I don't know of anybody else in North Idaho
who has a BRAT.
And I kinda remember that discussion...
Ellensburg is a good locale, but we'd definitely have to ask Robbie about
where to have it.
Also, would we be able to get sanction from a farmer, or the police, to
setup a Rally-esque course?
Or at least a mud pit or something like that for "dirty" pictures to be taken.
Hey! We could have it in Toppenish! :-p
I'm sure there's lots of open parking out there, especially at Bill's place ;)
What would be a good date for everyone?
Jeff
I like the middle of the winter.
Lower likelihood of me having any asthma issues.
And snow is somewhat, well hard to come by in Ellensburg.
So if we could figure out some sort of, like, ice rink or something if we have it
in the middle of the winter.
If we have it in the spring, mud should be abundant.
But my allergies don't like the fertilizers used by most wheat farmers (sulfates)
If my older Brat is running by then, I'll look forward to being there.
When I get my engine put back together and in :-p
Heh heh heh, so I'm not the only one taking forever to work on his cars... :rolleyes:
But it'd be cool to meet you westcoaster's finally.
PS: When do we all think we could coordinate our rigs running all at the
same time?
Well mine's running great... for now... It would be cool for this to be a shakedown deal for my Brat, first time offroad for it, or something... But Im sure Ill be Offroading it before this happens in one way or another :banana:
-Bill
winter means kind of cold for camping,
are there hotels in ellensburg?:lol:
maybe look at possible locations/venues then the dates might clear up
dogs would be another consideration - wonder if all 3 would fit in the brat.....?
spring is kind of busy for me but the weather would be nicer
i"m interested if the dates line up for me - would be good to meet everyone
it would be cool to have a lift on the brat its running great and 4x4 but its really low to the ground haha but it would make it up the trail im thinking of.
The first gathering doesn't have to be anything to wild.
I am thinking Spring.... Early spring shake down drive kind of thing.
Check the callendars for Ellensberg chamber of commerce, college or rodeo events that we could possibly tie into the gathering... or a good steak place.... will drive a long way for a good steak!
Keep us posted.....
If it doesn't turn into some sort of wheeling event, I'd love to make it. Especially come Spring. I just can't do any snow, mud or much offroading thanks to my drivetrain.
Anytime you get Jeff near an area with no pavement, there's gonna be some 'wheelin no matter what :lol:
Im thinking kind of a little-bit-of-everything type of deal, cuz I realize not everyone has a trashed beater Brat like mine...
-Bill
Im not down to wheel either, expecially if I gotta drive across Oregon to get home.
However, the beach is real tame. At WCSSX in Astoria, I stopped at Fort Stevens State Park and we found some real nice access to the beach there. Plenty of parking lots too... maybe that could be a consideration?
