Digi dash conversion

Featured Replies

Does anyone know for sure whether a 83 gl-10 digi dash will fit a Brat at all, Gen. 2, '82? There is a nice one on the bay as I am sure everyone knows. Will Mark Mager please call me at 208-267-9877. Emails bounce and I don't have the right phone number for you, still have all the junk, Bradd:D

Sure - it will fit. But the problem is not the dash. ALL of the sending units are different - even the one IN the gas tank. The wireing harness is completely different, and besides all that, the digi's from 83/84 are notoriously bad juju. They will blow up if you even look at them funny. Seriously - don't bother.

In all honesty it may be easier to use digital guages from Summit Racing if you just want digital stuff for some reason. I think they are a little more universal in their hook ups.

You could make one like mine and install a digital set rather than analog.

You nailed my idea perfectly! Thats exactly what I meant, but your pictures make it come together much better.

I cant find my summit catalog otherwise I would give you some ballpark figures of what the guages go for :(

When you can sell them, they generally go for around $150 to $300 depending on condition, etc. For $300, I might be convinced to pull mine and all the sending units for it......

Thanks, Chris!

I'm always looking for *any* '83/'84 digi-dash.

The last one I got for $25, have paid as much as $75. I understand the stealer can get new, rebuilts for just under $400.
