My car is ruined

Featured Replies

Terrys Auto in Clive did such a good job fixing my rusted out pipe and broken exhaust studs that they made it quiet. So dam quiet that i no longer scare little children on the side of the road. NO longer will little old ladys quiver in fear next to me at a stoplight. I will no longer have the rally style wow factor as i blast buy people in traffic. It so quiet i can hear all the other problems the engine and the wheel bearing are having. Its a sad sad day.

as a board member once told me. turn up the radio. that was because i complained about the tick of death.

and here i though my flat four was turning into a desiel.

Poor car, it can't roar at other people anymore...

I know that my BRAT feels the same way.

Unfortunately the wheel bearing that took the place of the exhaust noise gave

up as well, so its currently without a roar

Hope your car gets its roar back (or maybe not)

Put one of Scott's urban assault bumpers on the front along with a set of sharpened Texas Longhorn horns on the hood. You'll scatter some people.

I like your thinking.

Here ya' go............better yet!! In addition to my previous idea get one of these and throw it on. zzz:Flame: I remember seeing these things years ago and wasn't sure if they were still made. But.....J C Whitney to the rescue. The home of everything Rube Goldberg! :headbang:

Be sure to read the "Overview". Classic!

Maybe with the free plug you gave the shop they could hook you up on a deal fixing the wheel bearings and engine issues

Funny.:P

That's perfect. I'm picturing you stopped at a red light and having people cross the street in front of this baby! Can you say "photo op"?

Yeah I had the same problem with Superior Subaru in Burien, WA. it went in for a valve adjustment. Came out with a loud wheel bearing... and a fixed exhaust...

a couple days later I took it back for the wheel bearing.

I couldn't resist. I installed a cherry bomb on my gl. sounds great

LOL. I have a friend who used to have a goat skull and a rubber aligator on the hood of his landcruiser... someone pulled out in front of him and that's what they saw coming in their side window when he couldn't stop in time...

i had the same problem, new exhaust, quiet car. cant hear my turbo nearly as much, lol, and it no longer sounds like a tractor  on the plus side, my exhaust tip is tasteful and stock looking
