4 inch lift problems?

Featured Replies

I'm getting a new exhaust from the headers back, but I'm going to get a 4 inch lift later. Will the lift mess up the exhaust where it attaches to the body?

It doesn't attach to the body except in the very back by the rear axles. It attaches to the transmission.

So no - 4" will not affect the exhaust enough to matter.

ok good! I scheduled it to get done, but I wanted to make sure I wasn't making a mistake by doing it before the lift. Thanks a ton. I was getting a little worried.

if you want more clearence I would do it after lift is installed

i also vote for do it after the lift. You are gonna want the exhaust to bend up right after the y pipe, and factory form it goes level back from it. After your lift, you will want a bend up after the y pipe, and tuck up along the driveshaft again for clearance.

What year subaru? Mine is lifted (97) so i can answer if it is that generation.
