Rotor removal bolt

Featured Replies

For future reference. What bolt can I find under the hood that will allow me to thread into the rotor so it will pop off the hub?

pretty sure the fender hold down bolts will work, like any of the 10mm headed bolts. they just might not be long enough if it's on REALLY tight and still wont' walk off once it's starting to move.

It's not under the hood. But the shouldered bolts for where the cat pipe meets the midpipe (where the exhaust donut is) work perfect :)

I believe I save PS pump bolts for this.

My memory isn't so great but I remember on each car dis-assembly I get 3 to put in the tray to use rotors. They look like the PS pump bolts(the 3 from the front) and there are 3 of them. They even have a little section that isn't threaded at the end. Eventually they mushroom.

i been using bolts off of the Ford SHO I been parting out .....lol

I wanna say it's an M8 x 1.5 thread? Shouldn't be hard to find out, just start taking bolts from random places and try them.

But don't forget to put them back later!!!

Yeah I forgot to add that. But not one before the next, you have to throw them all in the same pile and mix them up then put them back just as randomly as you chose them.

It's like a game and you get a cookie when you get them all back in the right place.
