RC Brat Display

Featured Replies

those are vintage tamiya right? The chassis with the solid rear/doule wishbone front?

That is one great paint job on the BRAT on the left! I love mine

as well.

This one is bone stock. The second one is on a Tamiya Bruiser chassis.

the Brat on the right (mudblaster) is painted to match my 86, but the one on the left appears to have been painted that way at a factory, or someone did one helluva job on it. it's a parma body with the paint on the inside....

sitting under the 67 GTO body on the right is a Brat chassis with a hi output motor, and special wheels/tires set-up for drag racing... (that was my latest find for $50 and it included all the electronics/radio :) )

While I love the detail of the Tamiya BRAT body I cringe at running it off road for fear of the slightest impact. I would love to find a parma BRAT body but they are pretty rare.

I got mine on eBay for $25. allready painted, and no cracks :)

yeah, my mudblaster body has paint chipping off it, and a few cracks now from last years midwest meet... I rolled it a few times :)

That is why I left the stock 360 Maubichi motor in mine and didn't even consider the 540, let alone a modern brushless......

I am using a modern FET esc with a 6 cell on the stock 360 motor. Runs soooo smooth like that. I itch to get another BRAT body and put it on my 90Mph Schumacher.

Mick, maybe you can load up some of those beanie babies and take them for a thrill ride in your R/C Brats.

Looks good!

I still want one:boohoo:

My buddy wont sell me his:mad:

If that's the old frog/blackfoot/monster beatle/mudblaster chassis it's a independant rear with those lousy dog bone axles. That chassis never ran the dependable solid axle.

The Mud blaster should have come with the Mubachi 540 from the factory. The 380 would require an adapter.

What about painting the outside of the lexan body if you don't like the color? I've covered up several previous owner screw ups that way. Have you tried brake fluid to remove the paint?

Glenn,

Way too many R/C things....
