Better get hopping. I usually start about this time (or earlier) getting my stuff ready. But I usually bring more than one car. And yes, there are awards.

That reminds me... where is my bribe for this year

(I do some of the old school/off road judging, though someone else has a look at what I submit)

Yep I agree! Was great camping with you all last year and can't wait for this year!

  • 2 weeks later...
probably wont make this one the wife is due on the 24th we'll see

It wouldnt be the first time we've had a birth at WCSS.

And it was at the same place too!

(They actually went to the hospital in PDX I believe)

Just induce a week early... Then we can see the new baby at the show!

Yours will be the quietest 'baby' there! Whats cheaper? New kid that needs work? or a new car that needs work? :-p

Just bought my plane tickets!!!!!!!!!!!!:banana::banana:

See you guys in a few months!

Any tips on motels? I don't camp and I am traveling very lightly. Is there a motel where others will be staying that don't camp like me? lol

Get a hold of Dr RX, he goes that route every year.

I'll be there. Heck - that's a measly 5 hours from me/ EASY!

Plus, I may not be driving the BRAT anyway

The FrankenLego should be done by then.

Hell, my EG-OBW might be finished, too (If I get moving on the harness stuff...*sigh*)

Im a bit overdue to show off my 83. Trying but the kid is due in June and trying to open a real shop here in the next month or two...could be financially irresponsible to leave but will try.

Not prepare your hotel

Im just yankin your chain though

I didnt even realize your location, I apologize. I thought you were a local just saying you didnt camp lol.

Hmmm... comfy bed in a lonely hotel vs. cozy fire and friends under a blanket of stars.... I choose camping. My small tent fits in a suitcase ;)

He may choose to hang out till the wee hours of the morning.

Then head back to his hotel room and comfy bed.

I know of a few people that have done this.

Even at my age, I still sleep in a tent ;)

YOUR age... yeesh you make it sound like you're OLD or something.

right here is the plan. Hell my motel is only .5 miles away...I can drunk walk that

I will already end up spending a night in an airplane  and then have to drive home 1.5 hours from Philadelphia in morning rush hour traffic while trying to stay awake. Looks like a cigarette and mountain dew kind of morning.

just for sake of arguement though...I have slept in a 2002 outback (nearly brand new at the time) in the driver seat and if I was driving out to this show I would gladly sleep in my Baja anyday of the week.

I'd still rather sleep in a car then a tent
