Removing old Targa stripes...

Featured Replies

Anybody know how to remove chipped and faded Targa stripes from a Brat? I want some nice, shiny, new ones...

Use something like a bondo spreader (soft plastic ) so that it won't scratch the paint and maybe a hair dryer. worked for a few baked on bumper stickers that came with my last car.

Mine look like this... They appear as if they survived several passes of a buffer at some point by the previous owner

the dark part is still gummy residue, which is now hardened due to sun action.... I doubt mine would come off with anything.....

try finding a product called "vynil off". i used it to de-stripe an rv that was sitting in the arizona sun for five plus years. the vynil was almost a part of the rig it was so bad. good luck.
