September 17, 201114 yr I did it with my BRAT. Worked great, pushed snow pretty easy, even my whole road after 14" of wet stuff. I have a friend with a first Gen Legacy wagon with 6" of lift, Outback tranny and diff for the lower gears, swampers and a plow. That thing pushes snow nice!

Don't ram into snow banks, use low gear and put along. allow the trip edge to do it's job. I see so many people plowing at high speed, and they wonder why they bend their frame on the 1 ton HD pickup.

Especially if you aren't plowing anything with a lot of bumps/hangs for the plow to catch on. It's just like anything. If you're an idiot, you'll break it. If you have half a brain, you'll be fine.

October 3, 201114 yr Here is our Plow Car It has worked well for 2 winters =) Only weak link seems to be the puny Atv winch that lifts the blade up.

October 21, 201114 yr It's a 4wd 1,2 Liter Sumo (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Subaru_Sumo) . No problem with 12" of fresh snow. And its nimble as hell. That wheelchair lift sounds good but adds too much weight to front axle. I'm just going to get better winch to replace that old chinese no-brand thing.
October 21, 201114 yr Meyer makes (or at least they used to make?) a model E-46 that should be relatively easy and cheap to find. it's a simple electric/hydraulic unit. they're reliable, don't weigh a lot, and wiring one up is a piece o'cake

January 8, 201214 yr Author ok its 2012 now and shes still going strong after a nice trail tested 5" lift skid pan dr-trany some bigger springs and extra shox updated alt and larger batt turns out im still waiting for snow :-\ [/img]
