Subaru Electrical/ window

OK, I need some help, I have a 2002 Impreza Outback Sport, and my drivers window does not work, it is not the switch, and I would assume that the relay is bad. If anybody has any ideas on what else to check, or where the relay is located, I would really appreciate it.

ocei77, I will check it out, and Cougar, or whoever else reads this, when I hit the window switch it doesn't make any noises or clicks, it is as if it is not connected. So I will check the motor, thanks for your help.

I'm not sure why you say that the switch can't be the trouble because in most cases that it is where the trouble is. So if you haven't verified the that the switch is ok by testing it I suggest you do that.

Cougar, the switch was one of the first things that I checked and replaced, they are notorious for going bad, however, it was a connector that came apart inside the door. There was a window replacement TSB about the new wiring being shorter than the original and it could work itself loose, and it did. That was the problem, thank you everybody for your help.

Anybody know where window relay is on 1994 legacy. The parts houses have them for sale and I thought it was under passenger seat but I haven't found it.

Have you figured out the problem with your window? If your other windows work off there switches then it has to be the wiring or the main switch itself. If the fuse was blown or bad none of the windows would work at all, being that they are all on the same fuse. So if you check your other window switches and they work you know at that point that it is not your fuse's.

I would suggest for you to go to a junk yard and pull out a main switch from the driver side door and try that or you can always purchase one here: http://www.subieparts.com This is my go to website for anything part related. Just hit the OEM catalog and search for what you need in there!

If after that it still wont work then you have to dig deeper and find the entirety of the wiring and make sure that it is still all hooked up and working properly! Let me know how you make out!

Please start another thread for this, most people wont come here and look and if they do they might not even reply to your request.
