Well, I guess if you want something done, you sometimes have to just do it yourself.

 

Ok, it's that time of year again. We'll be heading out to Greenwater to go and collect Xmas trees. We'l meet at the Enumclaw Mikkey Deez at 9:00 a.m. and plan to leave there at 09:30 to head up to Greenwater.

 

Tree permits are 10 bucks each, and can be aquired at the local Ranger Station in Enuymclaw, just up the street from McDonalds.

 

This tends to be good clean family fun, bring your kids and your (friendly) dogs.

We'll set up a pop tent or two, usually have some kind of hot beverages.

the 'bruise family will be there. hope that doesnt discourage anyone. will the permit office be open? ive tried to go there on weekends to get driving permits and it was closed. must be different this time of year......

There will not be any trouble finding snow this year. Snow tires or better will be needed to get to the top of the hill.

I don't think that far ahead, but I'm in.

Unfortunately, I wasn't thinking when I scheduled this on Dec. 5 (C-day). No fun being on a water only diet on Sunday. I might come up to McD's and meet with folks but I won't be heading into the mountains this year.

My ej22 runs like a champ...I'll challenge any imp in the snow..no way am I gonna let a lowered imp ...get the best of my abilities..bring it on..

The lowered imp stays home this year, my Toy will be along. Wifew will be driving the boring 04 obs.

OK, tomorrow's the day. We'll see everyone on the hill. If a few of you would consider grabbing some firewood bundles at the Greenwater store on the way up that would be great. I find that I am running out of room in the Outback and the 'yota. If anyone wants to bring a pop-up too that would be cool as well. We will have one there along with a camp stove and two propane heaters. It is cold so dress warmly and bring extras in case you get wet.

I unfortunately had a family issue come up and had to head south after my training today. Wish I could have made it instead.... :unamused:

I got us up the hill, no problems. My dad decided he wanted to drive back down... We came across a stuck pickup and he tried to go around them. lol

 

 

 

The funniest part of the trip was I passed by my boss, she was fourwheeling around in her jeep.
