Paint codes?

Featured Replies

My 87 gl10 has a very odd light blue paint job it's not like any other Subaru color I've seen I'm going to start stocking up on body work supplies And I'd like to get factory paint but alas I cannot find my paint code. So if anyone can tell me where to find it that would be helpful. And it's not on a tag on the strut tower. So the other thing I need is the different blue paints for 86-88 I think it's galactic blue or Bermuda blue. examples would be useful. I don't think it's lake blue as its darker than that

Hmm that sounds about right it's a very deep color. So next step is to get some mixed and see if it's right thanks much :burnout:

marina blue would be the lighter metallic sky color my 87 xt has.

i have seen several 1986 gl-10 with the dark bluue, which lookks very similar to my 94 legacy which is blue pearl mica.

the paint code should be just next to the hood latch on the radiator support.

Aha the problem is its had front end damage and It doesn't have the orig core support..

Is there anyway to get the paint code from the vin?

If this is a 1987 GL, the paint code sticker might also be on the driver side strut tower (Next to one of the 3 12mm nuts) I have seen an '87 GL which had it in that location.

Yep it's lake blue . Nice xt btw. I plan on gettin one of those soon maybe Ann xt6. That one would be lifted tho.. Makes more sense to me lol also i like your rims. I have a set just like em but. The holes and center cap on mine will be lake blue just to make them stand out.

Edited by AKghandi

Good idea on the holes. I need to get one wheel fixed, clear is bad on

.

I thought about lifting it. still thinking about it.

Yeah I'm going to pull them out of the snow and refinish them( someone painted them completely black) and get them mounted next week. Should helpmy wagon drift a bit better. Those rims weigh almost nothin

Edited by AKghandi

You think they weigh less than steels?

just trying to figure out which wheels I have would be lightest.

The steels (XTDL)

The Hs

Or these phone dials.

  • Author

The alloys are Wayy lighter than the steelies and I think the weight is close to the same between the H style and the dial style

I'm going to go to car quest here in town first and see how good it is before I start ordering and paying out the a$$ for shipping lol
