I was changing the thermostat on my ea82t and one of the nipples snapped off this... I'm looking for the correct name for ordering purposes.

where was it? and by chance you have a better pic?.. from that angle it looks like nothing ive seen on my wagon..

Runs awesome... just flushing fluids. This was under the cross pipe.

its a vacuum solenoid if you follow the vacuum lines it should lead to the FPR or the EGR. i cant remember right now..

 

its referred to as a vacuum solenoid in my chiltons. not sure how much that will help with ordering one...but theres a whole grave yard of ea82ts in the valley.. probably a 5 dollar part.

 

 

spent the last few hrs looking around and the correct name is egr vacuum solenoid..

map? sensor. On a EJ, the one between the intake and top of engine is the map. look it up to see for sure.

If it turns out to be MAP sensor, it is NOT a 5 dollar parts as someone has claimed. more like a 70 dollar part.

thats great but this is a ea82t we're talking about and at a junkyard it WOULD be a $5 part. or a pocket item.

i believe this will help. not trying to jack thread but cmon man at least keep on the same motor. you are right about the new price though, probably. telling people theyre wrong all the time doesnt help anybody.

I'll check pricing for new... I'll probably give my repair a try, it's easy enough to get to if it doesn't work.

It shouldn't. I replaced mine with no further lights coming on. But it could have been the System refreshing its self, just a little glitch perhaps.

 

If the vehicle is running fine, do not worry about it.
