August 23, 201213 yr I don't have the service manual pdf on this computer but I think the normal range is something like 6-10 clicks? Mine is like 20 clicks and I'm going to be adjusting them soon, I figured with new rotors for the rears that I would not really need adjusting but I guess you do anyways. I haven't seen new shoes for the rear but these look fine, no?
August 23, 201213 yr I needed new shoes a while ago. Someone here posted NAPA. And NAPA appears to be the only choice other than the dealer. Folks do make kits for you to glue new lining on yourself. Sounded like something I didn't need to do.
August 23, 201213 yr looks like you need new pads, why resurface? its only around $30 for both sides new
August 23, 201213 yr I always replace pads/shoes if I am putting new rotors/drums on. It takes care of any odd wearing which could decrease effectiveness or destroy a new rotors. I checked NAPA and they are listed for $35. Worth it to me.
August 23, 201213 yr They look low but if they're adjusted up properly, check the cable adjustment under the center console behind the parking brake cable.
August 23, 201213 yr Author I was going to buy new pads but you know listening here people before said you don't need new pads because they don't get used that much and all that. How much thicker do new pads looks?
August 23, 201213 yr I would check the adjustment first. It is actually 3-6 clicks, but anything in the middle of the stroke is fine.
August 23, 201213 yr Author Should I adjust in the car or at the rotor? I forgot to check the parking handle to see if it was adjusted when I last had the console out.
August 23, 201213 yr At the wheel first. I found mine were way out so I actually did the rough adjustment with the rotor off. I adjusted it so I could just get the rotor back on then tweaked it. Then you adjust the cable.
