Picked up this 85' GL 4WD Turbo late last Winter. It had 105k on it and had been sitting since '95. This was to be my daily driver while the Brat is being restored... which is taking longer than I thought. :(

Akghandi hooked me up with front shocks off of a parts car, fog lights (to be added) and pugs with awesome tires, Jerry DeMoss set me up with a set of RX springs and I have a 2" Boss lift on order.

That's a block heater....its been -5 or less every morning for the last 10 days and she stays outside. With a nice warm block and oil she starts right up every morning.

Those are some cool seats!

Those seats.....what's the story with those seats?! I've never seen em' before and I want a set. Bad.

I don't have any info on how rare they are, but I can tell you a few things 1) they predate the RX, 2) the rear seat is a split fold down w/ an armrest 3) check out the matching seat belts... this tells me these are an original option.

I bought an 86 GL-10 turbo sedan once that was terribly rusted. It had rear discs, and LSD rear diff, and had those seats as well. Wish I had been able to get a few more parts off it.

Great looking car. Really clean cut.

Very tasteful modification. If you didn't know it was modified, you'd think it came that way. Keep up the good work with that gem.

Thanks... I was telling AKGhandi that's what I was going for.

That thing looks awesome!

Let me know when you wanna go test it out:)

How are your front axles liking the lift? Any issues?

I'm not sure how his axles are liking the lift, but for about a week after I installed my lift the front axles made a sort of grinding noise. there was a little drive axle vibration at highway speeds while accelerating

but its been about 200 miles, and they seem to have "broken in" no odd noises or vibrations anymore. and I'm not exactly easy on my axles.

Axels seem OK so far. I have a slight clunk from my rear right... I'll get that figured out this weekend.

I love sitting at lights and having people stare at the car... trying to figure out what is going on with it.

What size tires are you running? I am looking at the same 2" BOSS lift for my 1994

14" pugeots steelies, 175×80×14

Thanks for the info! I have a line on those same Pug style pug steel wheels. Hopefully I can get them for a good price.

Every time I look at this car I'm jealous :slobber:

Love that interior and love the lift and tire/wheel combo you got going on. It looks great! It must be awesome driving around in that thing.
