Has anyone been able to correct/fix a high beam switch? My will work on low beam and will also work on high, only if you pull in and hold, but the flip forward... nada worky.

 

It seems to work a few times when the car is really cold. The high beam will stay on, but if you flip it to low, it won't turn the highs back on.

 

This Legacy is the LS sedan, so it had "variable" Int wipers and no rear wiper. The switch is difficult to locate and EXPENSIVE.

 

Any ideas?

I don't know that you can get in there to repair it. Used on would be the easiest.

have five or six 96-98 legacy coullums and two switch /clockspring units out the only diferenreces are if it has 3 wire or 2wire airbag conector

Don't recall on the older ones but in newer models the combo switches are seperate so you could move the wiper stalk with its controls to a plain L model headlight switch.... without replacing the entire assembly.

I know you had asked about the one on the 96 Legacy I am parting. And I know things have take forever on my end. Seems like on thing after another. But, do you still want it? I just need to figure out how to get it removed.

I might have a lead on one locally. I'll let you know.

once the air bags fired the coullom just sitts around here to bad your so far i have at least 6

That i dont know i doubt it as the coullom switch should be generic 2 wire airbag or 3 wire airbag conector ?

i looked closer four screws and the switch comes off could just send the switch part if needed

well i had the assembly off i doubt you could camge it in position but ya four screws and the high low switch comes right off the collum assembly
