February 10, 201313 yr http://www.autoblog.com/2012/09/30/how-to-tell-if-your-600-craigslist-subaru-has-bad-struts/ This isn't my car but thought the video was funny.
February 10, 201313 yr Lol I helped my mom drive home her $600 legacy and all the struts were just gone like that one. I had a fun drive home
February 10, 201313 yr i fixed that other day when it was apart i put in wagon rear springs in a legacy sedan stiffend it right up and gained 2 inchs in the rear
February 11, 201313 yr Thats actually can happen. WHen I boughtg Blu2 his rear struts were so bad he was almost bouncing that badly. I considered him dangerous.
February 17, 201313 yr Brother drove around in his impreza with BLOWN rear struts for over a year. Hit a bump on the highway and the car would slide around for the next 60-70 feet. When we finally did replace those struts the shock absorber on the pass. literally fell apart when we flipped it upside down and water poured out of it.Pretty crazy. I remember making a drive from jersey to pa in a blizzard (it's FWD imp.) in that car with it in that condition on tires with steel belting coming through. On 1/4 of a tank. ...oh the stories..
February 17, 201313 yr I could do this with my ford pinto when i removed the rear shocks before replacing them with air shocks.
February 17, 201313 yr I just remembered when I first got my gl It had struts and shocks like this also. It scared me when I hit the first pothole and bounced across the road it probably didn't help that I was trying to drive like it was Rwd
February 19, 201313 yr I was doing something similar on Forza Motorsport 4... put all the dampening settings to minimum and saw just how bad it is to simulate bad struts... it's downright DANGEROUS!
