That a Perrin DP or what?  Seems like it is for the later gens like the 2.5's or newer?  A TD04 on an EA82 should be VERY interesting to say the least.

no markings, not sure. probly a generic Ebay DP. 3" made for a WRX I believe. once the engine is bolted in I need to measure it out and shorten it for the EA chassis.

And Justin, a job eh? that's pretty exciting news

It's been done a few times. Usually doesn't last long, but it'd be cool if it did!

BAH!

I disagree. PLUS my TechWorks header is designed for one so no mod, no fuss!

ALSO: EVO 8 injectors should keep PLENTY of fuel to offset the more air

Edited by rpholz

Oh, I'm not saying it won't last! I have just heard others stories. Looking forward to seeing this all put together!

well the engine would of been in the car by now if it weren't for the weather.

been looking at jobs/apts for my dad all day.

I hear you about the weather! It's been holding me back here for a while now!

Yea, the wife has been a bit homesick and wants to move down there. No leads yet.. still looking

that EA is going to sound sick with that WRX exhaust. nice and low growling.  any more pictures of the ride?

also i did some researching and an Orlando import generally carries EJ20g for right around a grand. thats pretty cheap for a full engine/trans set up

however I really want to carry on Will's passion of pushing the EA82

need to clock the turbo so it will clear the intake. just wanted to get an idea of whats what.

  • Author

Got around to modifying the turbo, however my pliers don't have enough a$$ to get the clip back in. Ill just take it down to Subaru on Monday and ask real nice someone to do it for me. I have plenty of other things to do between now and then

Slight update:

Picked up some WRX wheels so later down the line I can fit WRX brakes and better tire options. Stuffed them under the xt6 only to find out my bushings are GONE so the one ran into the strut, put the smaller wheels back on and am waiting on poly bushings

Needed a helicoil kit for one of the exhuast studs. Cheapest place: amazon, so I'm waiting on that

Also ordered the 90 degree elbow for the turbo inlet.

So all in all I'm just sitting here waiting on parts

And I'm broke.

I work Saturdays so not too much done but

Most of the wiring has been completed.

Fixed the exhaust stud

Found out my downpipe runs into the trans crossmember

Intercooler mounting and some piping figured out

selling the sti exhuast to my buddy to use on his GC, just too much of a PITA to modify.

looking at getting some 2.5" pipe and running it from there, anybody got a pic of they're exhuast running underneath the rear axle rather than over?

Lol! This is true. More reason to move down. Pluuuuuuuus pretty much every Sunday some Subaru or another is getting wrenched on

Did you put the inexperienced driver symbol on there?

  • Author

Yes, yes I did.

Had a buddy of mine go to Japan last year and bring that back for me.
