April 19, 201312 yr I havent been on in awhile, but i have kept the subaru bug, with a brief detour into a jeep (very bad idea lol) I've recently aquired an 82 ea, 4spd, d/r. I'm wondering if there are any special needs for these lil guys.

April 20, 201312 yr Keep oil in it, keep coolant in it, and don't let it bite the Honduhs. Especially if you feed it after midnight. Oh, and beware the curse of 30 year old aluminum. Do NOT over torque any of your engine bolts. Twitch

April 22, 201312 yr Change the transmission fluid and the rear diff fluid. I just picked up an '83 Hatchie... the rear diff was extremely low on fluid... about 8 oz. drained out. Should have been 32 oz.
April 22, 201312 yr Adding to Ben's great Advice: ...Oh, and beware the curse of 30 year old aluminum... I Must Add: Keep it "Cool" ~ Don't let it to Overheat. So Check the Coolin' System & Replace any Brittle Hose... etc. KInd Regards.
