Brat bed trim plastic pieces(3D printing?)

Featured Replies

The grommets are the main clips that's run down both sides and along the tail gate, I think you need 10 or 12 total. The clips go on either side of the tail gate where the chrome trim curves, you need one on each side.

Sounds like we're able to call this case closed.

  • I wasn't talking about the trim itself. I mean the little plastic blocks that go under the trim that the trim screws to.

  • When I had my Brat painted the last time about 5 years ago I pulled the metal trim on mine. Several blocks were broken and fell to pieces trying to reinstall. I cut wooden wedges and coated with a fin

So I will need both a grommet and a clip?

For the bed trim, at least on my 77 and 87, you just put a screw in the grommet. I just posted to clip because others were talking about it, but for the bed chrome I don't think you'll need it.

Anyone have any idea if we would be able to get the "chrome" trim pieces made? I know there is an app for iOS and Android that turns things into 3D. You have to take 20-40 pics but maybe that's how we can get the wheelhouses made as well?
