is there a gasket for the asv

Featured Replies

since that's a pretty small gasket, you might try going to the parts store and getting some exhaust gasket material and make your own gasket.

No, there is no gasket, of any kind including sealer, that goes between ASV plate and head. The exhaust manifold gasket goes between ASV plate and exhaust pipe however (duh).

I think you're confusing the EA81 with the EA82. The ASV tubes bold to the side of the heads on EA82s

it really dont matter. the whole exhaust manifold on my pinto(trashwagon 3) has no exhaust gasket

it matters because I need to replace the asv with a block off plate, and want to stop the leaks

would permatex gold work?

try hi-temp silicone. i made a block off by cutting the asv tube, and welding a spark plug to the hole

you could use the ultra copper. Let it set up until it seems bry to the touch, then bolt it on.

whats the asv on an eaxx??
