Please ignore this. I've fully embarrassed myself

not sure what that is, tried searching online and i don't think its a car that was imported to the U.S. its not a corolla or a volvo, also i highly doubt anyone would ever advertise a first gen subaru wagon, their such obscure and forgotten vehicles that even subaru owners ask me, thats a subaru? with my 79 wagon. sad sad world.

this is the wagon you speak of in the picture below. (or my profile picture for a front view)

also don't feel bad you confused wagons, look at the 70's corolla wagon and nissan wagon's. you can barely tell the difference from them to a subaru.

Appreciated Fellows,

That car is a Peugeot 504, it was imported and sold here (Honduras) from France in the 1970's Decade, is very Large and featured a collapsable third line of seats, in the cargo area.

Edit: GL is not a Model Designation, only a Trim Level indication, many car makers uses it.

Comatosellama: don't feel embarrased, such confusions are normal, we all are Humans.

Kind Regards.

so what does DL stand for? and the 10 in GL-10? i think GL stands for Grand Luxury right?

Somehow Yes.

Subaru started to use GL-10 designation on the Late EA81 / Second Gen Leone Lineup, some people here in Honduras told me then, that it had something to do with the Dual Range 5 speed transmissions, but I doubt that because often the GL-10 were sold with Automatic Transmissions, so GL-10 was the way to refer to the Top of the Line (Luxury) Model in America, while in Japan it was the GT / GTII in Wagons, ST in Touring Wagons, and GTi in Coupes; we had GTi in Latin America also.

RX were the Racing Models... RS were a stripped down RX models, then came the Limited Diamond Star Editions, some of those were Dealer Optioned Models somehow; and so on... Much more information on the Legendary "Strange & Weird Subaru Stuff" thread, at the Off-Topic forums.

Kind Regards.

...and Here, Rust posted an interesting and very informative Chart:

LMAO love your comment of "Let me show you the magic of the search button!!"

and that is so much information, wow well this is gonna take me a while to learn.

GL=Grand Luxury

DL=Devoid/Dilaptiated Liability, lol (just kidding) thats not what it means, but no one knows. so thats the best guess we will have :P
