Well, 2 plus years ago when I took this engine out, apparently I had my head somewhere else, cause looking at my crank IT AIN'T right.  So any help here would be greatly appreciated.

Apparently I am not allowed to up load pics now  :(  :(  :(  will try to add a link, don't know how that is going to go since I am not good at that either.....

Looks like it is viewable to me anyway.

Anybody see it??

I see the pic.   kinda small.    Can't really see the 'problem' with the crank.

My impression is that the key should be pointing down, or am I wrong on this?

Sorry, the link only goes to an "Error" page at "onedrive.live.com"

I couldn't see any image...

Kind Regards.

Not sure how to get it viewable, won't let me post more than 32MB,

keeps saying Error this upload failed.

Use postimage, it is free and no restrictions. Then use the image icon in your message and the pic will appear.

Here is the link for postimage:

I can see the pic.

Shows an EA82 short block with crank key at roughly 4:30-5:00.

Wrist pin access plugs removed, oil and water pump removed.

If you haven't yet, put the pistons back in.

Install flywheel, and align the T-belt marks, center one of the lll marks.

Now you can install heads, cam carriers, T-belts and components.

Crank sprocket for T-belts only install one way. The one closest to the engine is dished to clear the crank seal, other one has pin for crank pulley.

Then what ever else you need to install to finish engine.

Should have mentioned, doing HGs

so pistons are still in never pulled them.

Easy goes from here, till I hit something else I've forgotten.

Thanks for your input, ALL.
