October 24, 20178 yr Hello all, new to the forum here. I have recently purchased a 2000 Forester and I am looking for advice on good lift/tire combinations. I really like the look of a lifted forester, but would like somewhere to start. I have looked on other postings but all of the images are no longer available. Any advice would be great! Thanks!
October 24, 20178 yr Check out the Subaru Forester forum, all Fozzy, all the time! My wife has a '99 and we just fitted 215/65/16 tires (stock is 215/60/16, IIRC), and the spare just barely fits in the trunk well, if you deflate the tire completely.
October 25, 20178 yr How high you want to go? I make and sell lift kits for that model 2 and 4 " kits are popular
October 25, 20178 yr Author I'm not really sure. Do you have images of what a 2 vs 4 inch looks like?
October 25, 20178 yr Author Really just wanting to be able to fit some bigger tires in there and gain a little ground clearance. Nothing crazy as it will still be my daily driver.
October 25, 20178 yr Is recommend a 2" lift. http://www.sjrlift.com/index.php/catalog/lift-kits/0-1-1-2-lift-kit-ej-fits-90-99-18-612017-02-10-17-18-35-detail
October 25, 20178 yr Author Looks nice. What kind of wheels and tires do you recommend running on a 2" lift? I've read that you can either go with wheel spacers or offset wheels to clear the strut perch.

I've read that you can either go with wheel spacers or offset wheels to clear the strut perch.with your Forester you can go upto 29" tires , the spacing is not needed that would be for a Impreza or non outback legacy 215/75-15 is about 27" that's good with a 2" lift
