Anyone removed these? Looks like rubber is bonded to a flat but about 70 mm. Would expect something like an M10 stud

There is a stud embedded in the rubber, IIRC.  I've never had luck removing them (granted, I haven't tried very hard) but I would thing you could slit the rubber to expose the stud then turn it out with some vice-grips.

I should have added I do not want to destroy, just ' tinker'

They turn out. Or at least when they will allow you to turn them out. I’ve got a set of new for 70’s which are probably the same as 80’s
