October 15, 20187 yr SVX engine for sale $1100 FOB. Duncan, OK 73533 I took this engine from a running SVX. It did have a blown headgasket but was still strong. I planned to use it on a hovercraft. it has been stored inside and oil was put down the intake when I shut it down. Mike Kiester
October 15, 20187 yr LoL. You can buy whole SVX's for less than that. And with a blown HG no less? Bonus points that count toward sitting at the cool kids table no doubt. LOL. JDM import EZ30's with a warranty cost about that much. What exactly do you think you have there? Looks like a big question mark looking for an anchor chain to me. Scrap it. October 15, 20187 yr Author Please send me a place where I may buy a 'whole SVS" for this amount. Mike
October 15, 20187 yr I see them frequently. Regardless an EG33 with a blown head gasket, unknown history, that's been sitting for years and we can't see it run.... yeah weigh it and whatever that times mixed aluminum scrap price = value.
October 15, 20187 yr Author please send me a place one see SVX frequent OR' You are a fake. I know exactly what this engine weights, I have 100's hours of time with an EJ33 on a hovercraft. Additionally, one may not sell itof aluminum, as it has lots of not alumionum parts in it. Mike
October 15, 20187 yr Your experience with hovercrafts is irrelevant. I see plenty of SVX's for sale here in OR. There was one not 20 minutes from me for $1500 on craigslist last week. You can sell it as dirty aluminum. You get more than steel, but less than clean aluminum. It's a thing - here anyway. Yeah I'm a fake. Totally. Check my post count. GD
October 15, 20187 yr As a point of reference. I just bought a great running svx engine with 89k on it for $150. I could have bought the rest of the car for $400.
October 15, 20187 yr I generally don't agree with posting to criticize a sale price. I prefer to let the market bear what it will bear. But GD is right. I've owned 3 SVXs, 2 had great engines (other problems, admittedly, but excellent engine donors), for a grand total of $800. I probably wouldn't scrap it, but I wouldn't pay much more than scrap value. Nothing on craigslist near you now. But here's one relatively near me: https://minneapolis.craigslist.org/ank/cto/d/92-subaru-svx/6721027602.html Still not a bargain, but what I found after about 5 minutes of searching. And you could still have it shipped across country, sell the lights, gauge cluster, wheels/tires and a few other things, and have an engine with known history, wiring, ecu and good head gaskets for less than $1100. But yea, good luck the with sale. Might have better luck in the "For Sale" section.

Suffice it to say you'll have better luck listing that elsewhere with less subaru/mechanic experience. As you requested - it took 6 seconds to find one in his city that's being parted out:https://portland.craigslist.org/mlt/pts/d/subaru-svx-parts-parting-door/6720850576.html Here are more than 36 with warranties and no blown headgaskets:http://www.car-part.com/cgi-bin/search.cgi JDM importers may be able to still get some depending if it's supply or demand slowing down that train:https://jdmenginesimport.com/details/491/subaru/jdm-eg33-svx-engine-transmission.html
October 16, 20187 yr Yeah it's a forum rule - if you post it in the "For Sale" forum. This isn't that. Honestly I don't look there but someone else would have LOL'd at it I'm sure. That's ridiculous.
