July 8, 20196 yr Forester 2007 (Std). My AC goes on and off and on.... It seems that I need a clutch replacement. Anybody did that without taking the whole compressor out ?
July 8, 20196 yr Probably best to post this in the EJ post 90’s section since it’s a Forester in question. But i believe the clutch can be replaced without removing the compressor. I’ve never done it though... Cheers Bennie
July 8, 20196 yr They are not available. And Subaru uses a cycling system. It's supposed to do that. GD
July 11, 20196 yr If the compressor runs / turns while the clutch is engaged, the clutch is working. The clutch is enabled as needed, varying by the demand on the A/C system.
