March 8, 20215 yr My passenger rear spring started running the body after I put it all back together. I scribed the alignment section of the arm, so it's back where it was. What else could cause it to get closer to the body?
March 8, 20215 yr I would guess the upper strut mounts are bent. I guess maybe the strut is bent, that's not uncommon with front struts in a collision. You could swap struts from side to side. If it rubs *on the same side* then it's an issue with the suspension/body. if it rubs *on the opposite side* then it's an issue with the strut assembly. What year/make? Why was it all apart - for a lift, an accident, maintenance...? Is the car rusty? Edited March 8, 20215 yr by idosubaru
March 8, 20215 yr Quote My passenger rear spring started running the body after I put it all back together. What all was done? If it was okay before the work then something about the reassembly or the parts is at fault. Look at the other side and make sure everything is assembled exactly the same. Verify / compare parts to ensure everything is same-same and nothing was omitted. Edited March 8, 20215 yr by Dee2
