Im trying to compress the caliper piston in and it will not push in. This car has the E brake on the front and feel it is preventing my attempts. Can someone help me with what to do??

Some caliper pistons need to be "screwed in".  Simply compressing them can cause damage.  Check your repair manual to make sure which is yours.  If you don't have a manual, check here:

The emergency brake on the front wheels is the clue.  The calipers do not push in.  The piston needs to be screwed in.

I hope the Lisle version of that tool is better than the less expensive one. I tried the latter and the pot metal it was made of made the tool worthless by way of rounding off the knobs that are supposed to turn the piston in. Talk about frustrating..

I've also done it with needle nose in a pinch. I finally wound up with the Harbor Freight brake kit, and while it was not a perfect fit, it still took minutes instead of hours to SCREW (as others have stated) the pistons in.

I sure appreciate the advice. I got the tp turn in. I used my caliper tool that is meant to compress but attachrd one of the plates to it to turn it in instead. It was a pain but worked well.

Yeah I used to use duckbill pliers. Wasn’t easy but lead to success! 

It probably needs rebuilding at this age.  Which is a new circular seal ring, a new boot and they through in a metal ring to seat the boot inside of the caliper.
