makermk Posted May 19, 2021 Share Posted May 19, 2021 I am looking a mechanic in the greater Seattle area that is reliable, good priced and honest that knows Subaru. I have an 1987 GL that I was going to put an EJ22 into it but have come to realize that hell is likely to freeze over before I get to it. But I am not giving up on the swap just doing it myself. el_freddo Posted May 20, 2021 Share Posted May 20, 2021 Prepare to pay through the nose if the mechanic has never done a full conversion before. If you can find someone reliable to do the wiring cut down, it could make it much easier for the mechanic - and possibly cheaper for you too.
