Is Outback (2005) Trunk Area Wide Enough to Fit Golf Clubs??

Featured Replies

I forgot to check when taking the new Outback out for test drive.

The car is awesome. 250 hp and manual is lots of fun.

Are you serious? You forgot to check?! You'll probably need an Excursion for such a large item. jeeeez.

I sure as hell hope so.. I can get 4 sets in the back of my old school soob :)

You may have to do without the chest-high putter, which should be outlawed anyway...

No problem. Several sets, some even with pull carts attached, will fit fine:) .

They sure seem small in the back????

Seems like they are smaller than the previous ones?

Did Subaru go backwards?

They do seem small in the back. We were out looking at Foresters and looked at a 2005 GT at the dealership. May have been an optical illusion since the back slopes down but they are almost the size of a EA81 in the back. Next dealership we sat in the back of a 2000 Legacy, quite a bit more room. But I am sure a couple set of golf clubs will still fit in the back.

Got 4 sets into the back of my 02 OBW on the weekend and they fit perfectly. I ended up stacking 2 sets on top of the bottom two, but everything still went in just fine, with the back seats in their normal position.
