sunday the 17th,evans or reiters run??? daytime fun!

Featured Replies

I have a little time sunday the 17th this moth in the morning to possibly squeese some play time in.... I would like to keep it farly local, so reiters or evans is good for me.. I will run with unlifted or lifted people if either want to play!

I will have a special visitor from out of state with me, and she has never been offroad.. (not in a subaru, and not in the mountains!)

and.. it has been overdue for me to test the wagons EJ capability!!! (and the new tires!!!!)

so anyone up for a day run???? and a vote, evans, or reiters? (if evans isnt subject to volcanic closure that is!!!)

time... morning departure from seattle area return.. whenever we get done later in the day!

If it's Evans, count me in. I'll get my buddy Brian to bring his FJ.

Leaving bright and early?

hey count me in im always up for a 4x4 run im fine with both too since i havent been to any of them

I'm ready, just today all of us where talking about going down there with todd martin. Funny I look an the board and bang here we go. I'll try and get a few guys to go too like brian and woody. sweet

Jeff

How does leave my house at 7 sound? Todd knows where I live, if he can't make it, I can send you directions.

Then again, you MV guys might wanna camp there Satruday night.

Could you do me a favor and get Todd's # for me? I'd appreciate it.

Thanks Jeff.

How do you guys feel about Kanaskat (SP?) out near Black Diamond? There's mud and hill climbs and off camber stuff and water holes and trails galore to play on. I guess why I suggest it over EC is that stock Soobies can have fun there too.

  • Author

oh hey! i remember that mudhole...

umm.. i would prefur evans creek... but thats just cause I want to get some good mountain pics! and try 311 and such with the new engine/tires :brow:

but thats just me.....

i would like to go on something with a challenge cuz my local mud whole has abunch of that stuff and i mean ive conqured it all and i jsut want something new. more technical stuff than water

Yeah? And I don't really like nursing newbies thru EC anymore. :) That sounds mean, but my time 4 wheeling can easily be ruined by spending all day pushing and pulling and fixing folks cuz they lack experience.

I've been thru the most difficult trails at EC, lesser ones there are pretty boring these days.

And like I said, stock Soobs can get into our play area near Black Diamond. But if everybody's hearts are set on EC, I'm game.

Me first. Keep up if you can. :brow:

you first eric? last time you were in front of me.. i had to stop and wait ;)

we well find out who is faster up the trail! :brow: (all in good fun of course!)

I don't recall. . . LOL

You aren't a rookie my friend. You've been at this about as long as I have, been to EC almost as many times as I have. How's your water problem?

so where is evans creek is it more towards ur place zap? and i should be fine thro the trails dont worry about helpin me

Evans Creek is more towards your place. Foot of Mt Raineer.

You know how to get to Buckly or even better, Enumclaw?

  • Author

well, i figured out the water problem.. i think!

it seems to be bad spark plug wires and insulation.. when it gets wet in the spark plug holes, the high voltage sparks right thru the insulation..... right to ground...

so i have some new plugs and wires to install.. and a big tube of dielectric grease :brow:

but i still have an exposed ECU... so i cant take it into the water too much....

a little mud is fine... but too much can kill....

and to jog you memory, i was in the lightbar wagon, and you were in the sammy ;) and we also had a issue with other broke down trucks on the trail....

~edit~

would it be more fun if we make this a camping trip for those who like to camp out? I may be able to swing down saturday evening... if my plans work... campfire fun! (isnt there a special upper camping area?? i think that would be the coolest! )

I dont' think I'll be able to camp, I have to help my Mom move on Saturday. I'll just leave bright and early on Sunday. EC it is, nobody with stock rides spoke up, so I can't very well make a case for them can I? :-\

Hey Oneeye. You guys gonna make the trip down? If you want, I'll send you my #, we can head down together.

Yes we are coming for sure, There might be three of us but two for sure. we're all planning to leave here (mt. vernon) early very early and get down there. That would be cool if you'd give us your number we can all convoy down there. is any one else going to go down too from your area.

This is going to be the first hardcore wheeling test for my brat since I've lifted it. I've done a little here and there but no trails or good stuff yet. I'm looking forward to this.

Jeff

If I where to go with me and a friend, (both weight around 150lbs lol) Would there be any one with an open seat?

You have a PM Jeff.

I have a passenger already this time Matt. Sorry.

There might be room w/ one of us, we might have 4 coming down now. Woody wants to go (the guy with the lifted teal wagon). So someone might have an extra seat.

Jeff

how many people you guys think are going to be going?

Jeff
