October 11, 200421 yr Well, here I sit at work while some of you are at home enjoying a holiday. For our Canadian friends it is Thanksgiving Day (I wonder if they server turkey for dinner), for the Italians is Columbus day (lucky federal workers), and for the Native Americans it's 'Oh S*%t, there goes the neighborhood day'.
October 11, 200421 yr no holiday for me went to work last night going to work 2 night so its just my usual beer for breakfast and then go to sleep day oh and i am sick 2 so.. double yay
October 11, 200421 yr is that why i keep getting calls asking if we're open? the shop is only closed on christmas, labor day, the 4th, thanksgiving, and new years day. good thing i like the people i work with, eh? -mike
October 12, 200421 yr Some items to toss out: Mario Andretti was the Grand Marshall of today's parade in NYC.Many Italian cars,including the introduction(to the east coast) of the latest Lambo,many Italian bikes(mmmmmmmm,my favorite!!!),and more.Couldn't get out of work to sneak down,bummer. I have a bitchin shirt.I think I told you all about it a while back.My wife got it for me without me knowing and surprised me with it this past bithday.It's 3 native Americans in dress and above it says "Homeland Security".Below it says "Fighting terrorism since 1492".....I love that shirt. Why isn't is a holiday for the Spanish too?Or what I mean is why isn't it special to them too?Heck,if it wasn't for them old Christopher C would have never made it over,and the islands and South,and Central America would still be folks who look like Sitting Bull. Connecticut has the largest Italian American polulation-NOT NY or NJ. The world is round. Basta.Ciao!
October 12, 200421 yr heh, i worked too today, but there was hardly anybody in for oil changes today!!! we just sat around, and near the end of the day, we just clocked off and worked on our own cars, while we waited for customers to come... (they never did! lol)
