Anti-Subaru Zone.....:(

Featured Replies

After coming within millimeters of finally getting a second subaru (1981 GL Sedan), I get sideswiped by, you'll never guess, a "former salvage" title. Now I know some of you may have purchased a vehicle with this type of title, but my experience with this is that it is a bad idea.

So, now I am looking again, and on orders from the wife, once my truck sells, I have to find a car. And she indicates that if I don't find a subaru she would want me to buy a ... a .... a.....I hate to say this......a honda.

Imagine my disdain for this, but a car will be needed in short order once the truck is gone. So, anyone in the midwest KCK/MO area....let me know of any Sub's that might be for sale.

I am having very little luck finding any that aren't complete basket cases.

Thanks for reading my sad story.

I bought a 1992 Legacy with a salvaged title. The car had previously been reinspected by the state of CA and found to be drivable so the title wanst a problem anylonger.

From the sounds of it, that wasnt the case here. Good call on dodging the bullet.

my '80 ski wagon is still available :)

I'd really love to buy it, but it is a little out of my price range.

There's nothing wrong with a Honda.Never mind the blah blah blah you'll hear from people, they're great cars. It's the annoying little dweebs that drive them that suck nuts.

But,I hope you find a Subaru.Good luck.

Sorry to hear about that---BUMMER!! The wife & I (she had FINALLY realized that I NEEDED a race car) bought the GLF for $400 from a little old lady in Jacksonville, OR--of course, it helps that this was our 5th Subie---Keep lookin'--they are out there--:headbang:
