Hey there, I am not trying to start a war over oil weights, brands and such. I just am curious what weight(s) people would suggest for this application (EA81T with 135K)

 

Should I consider the cold winter temp.s?

read the owner's manual, there is a warning about oil for turbo engines, and the recommended oil

I dont' have a manual. The service manual (pdf form) that I have doesn't say jack about the recommended oil weight for any subaru engines.

I just use 10W30 as it doesn't get cold enough where I live to need a lighter oil.

Anyone else? (I'm sure that anyone's EA82T application is valid as they are very similar)

Well, according to my owners manual you should'nt run 5W-30 unless it is -25 or colder.I run 20-50 in the summer and 10-30 in the winter in my EA-81T.Dave.
