August 16, 200322 yr http://repair.usmb.net/usrm/ looks alot like the other USRM doesnt it!? Its the same software, but its a completely different page. This page is setup for the normal USMB user's, so they can submit any information they have. In order to upload files, click on MANAGE. Use the email address: usrm@usmb.net the password is: usrm All Lowercase. Enter the main folder and create a new folder, title it with your article name, and as the description, put only your USMB nickname. This application will let you upload almost any file type. From Text documents to images, from .zip files to webpages. Please upload only information pertaining to your article, in each folder. If you have multiple articles, create multiple folders. The USRM moderators will use this as a submission forum, so we can gather data and add it to the real USRM. All credit will be given to the USMB nickname provided in the folder description. If anybody is having any trouble at all, do not hesitate to send an email to USRM@Subaru4wd.net. -Brian
August 16, 200322 yr Author Oh, and P.S. I will be tracking this thread. So if anyone has any trouble, it might be faster to reply to this thread. -Brian
August 20, 200322 yr Brian, I've got some info on valve clatter: 6 jpgs and one Word document. Trouble is the jpgs are 250K each and I really don't know how to re-size them. I'd be glad to do it you can point the way. Thanks, ---Ed---
August 20, 200322 yr Would the info in the link in this thread be worth putting in the repair manual? http://usmb.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=2799&highlight=Interesting+reading Tom
August 20, 200322 yr Ed & Brian, Shawn may have the files already that Ed is referring to. I got the e-mail from Ed, but had trouble forwarding it to Shawn because of the size...... They are on my work computer...
August 20, 200322 yr Brian, anyway to create a link on the USRM to the visitor submitted area...? that way, if somebody's already at the USRM, and they don't see something, and want to submit it, they can find the link from there..
August 28, 200322 yr I'm sure that it is just my never ending urge to try to be helpful and make myself seem important and knowledgeable at the same time, but I have a topic that might be useful. If you have looked at my signature, you will notice that one of the listed mods is a strut brace. This is a really easy thing to make and install, and actually has proven very worthwhile so far. If you want, I could produce a very detailed writeup of the procedure complete with pictures. It's just a thought.
August 28, 200322 yr Author IF you would like to do that, that would be great. Just keep everything in its own folder, then .zip the entire folder. You can upload the .zip file to that page there, or you can email me and we can arrange for the file transfer. All credit will be given to you, the author. -Brian
August 28, 200322 yr Cool. It'll be a bit before I can get it done since I'm kinda busy right now, but I will get on it.
