Mechanic in Portland Oregon

Featured Replies

I have a 1993 loyale 4wd sedan that is using oil. I would like to either get a rebuild or replace with japanese import engine. Any pro's or cons on that issue. Also is their a quality subaru mechanic in the portland Oregon area, thanks

Send richierich a PM; he has an excellent shop in Portland.

Too bad I never heard of this richierich before, could have used him like a year and a half ago when my 86 GL blew HG's and went to crap, best part; a place in Lake Oswego that works on subes said i sucked a damn valve, only all my valves were fine when i took block apart, but my HG's weren't.

Also, if you look up his profile I think he has a website for the shop. I'd post it if I could remember it.....darn senior moments.....

My parents use a guy just east of Sandy that really knows his stuff also. Although that would be a bit of a drive for you.

If you're interested, let me know

There's Mountain Tech Subaru in Oregon City. I've never taken anything there, as I do my own stuff, but I did buy a Japanese import EA71 from them. The owner was very friendly and pleasant to deal with. I'm very satisfied with the engine he sold me too.

Jerry and Ben at Mountain tech are good. They have been doing Soobs for years. But I do find them overpriced.

Richie is great, he's a member of this board and does quality work. I would check him out.
