So a bunch of stupid *************** dont happen again, What linked to the site is The Subaru Junkie's, and what is the boards?

Maybe highlight or bold the links that are his, so people dont store stuff on his site, thinking that its the board's site.

Really sucks when you lose the only copies of some cool pics

hmmm musta been when I didnt have the internet at my place... I seriously do not remember seeing a post about it. So my bad. Thanks for clarifying

USMB.net will be expiring soon. So will ultimatesubaru.org, and the webhosts I used (yes, I.. me, with my own money thank you) will not be around for me to renew their license.

I will get in touch with Shawn to make sure the Message board is saved, but the Gallery and everything on USMB.net will eventually be lost.

I warned the USMB about 3 months ago to backup their images because I was going to be shutting down the old gallery.

The albums I deleted the other night were old albums that have not been updated in over a year. I will be deleting more and more as i find the time (have to do it all manually).

It just so happens i have a backup of the gallery from a while ago. I can try to find your pictures and send them to you, but I cannot promise it in a timely manner. They are in a folder, among thousands of other folders and one of over 9GB of images that were stored on the server.

so the board is getting shut down? or new ownership is occuring?

He just said the board will still be here...

The only thing in Jepordy is the domain name http://www.ultimatesubaru.org

The servers, board, and all the information contained are paid for by Shawn, and will still be around.

This could happen anywhere from 3 months from now, or 2 years from now. I forgot when the domain name expires.

I have free hosting & bandwidth if you wanted to move that domain and renew it elsewhere. Or for that matter, let me register it just for safe keeping.

Actually, it looks like they both have time before they expire.

I would be willing to pitch in to help save the domain name - as I am sure a lot of others would too. Please, just ASK if you need help, there are too many people that use this URL to lose it (even if the board was saved, it sure wouldn't be as handy if it was on another domain name since this is the one that everybody knows.....)

Thanks for the heads up.

I'll move my crap to the new gallery.

I musta missed the memo too.
