Matching Cars! NEW SVX. Wooohooooo!!!

Featured Replies

:slobber: I bought me a beautiful '92 SVX, black with grey leather interior. A perfect match for my '92 Legacy Turbo Touring Wagon LE (also black). Sweeet!!:headbang:

Of course, I now also own the two most difficult, hair tearing, ratchet throwing, sailor swearing cars to work on. :banghead: Good thing my other half is the Subaru Genius, eh?;)

As of today, the SVX came in to not only get the transmission rebuilt (shift kid modification, of course) but a complete engine rebuild too! Why not? It needs a tuneup, and a rebuild isn't that much more trouble.:D

So, watch out there guys! I'm on a roll!! :burnout:

Well apparently you have never worked on a GC bodied Impreza WRX before.

Great to hear; couldn't happen to a nicer person. Best of luck with it. ---ed---

Gee, I guess it was your statement, "I now also own the two most difficult, hair tearing, ratchet throwing, sailor swearing cars to work on." But the hair tearing, ratchet throwing and sailor swearing would apply to just about every type of car that I have worked on from one time to another. I think Mitsubishis are much harder to work on the Subarus, especially the V6 models, they hide the alternator next to the firewall, under the head, if you didn't know where it was, it would take you some time to find it. Yea, it's a lucky woman who gets married to a mechanic, I tell my wife that every time she tells me about her firends and their car troubles, and she agrees.

a rebuild isn't that much more trouble.:D

a rebuild isnt that much more trouble serious? cause my EJ18 impreza needs some new seals and timing belt replacing "Roos Only" will do it both for about 500-600$ but thats alot of money if I can save by doing myself please tell me what is needed and how much I will save time money and skin

Congrats on your new svx. Along with eng/tran rebuild don't forget to check your radiator for cracks. Also rear wheel brgs. ;)

Yeah, on an SVX, that almost goes without saying, doesn't it?

New radiator, of course.
