Hey not much worse than my car, I get 20-30 in the GL.

I personally dont care for them, but I still want to try to sell em (I am applying to sell Subarus in Oregon city Oregon) :brow:

I think the saabaru 9-7 looks better honestly. I still need to see one in person, will do that Tuesday when I meet the recruiter at Lithia

The Saab 9-7X that you refer to is actually Saab's version of the TrailBlazer/Envoy/Ascender/Rainier/Bravada family.

Are you referring to the Saab 9-2X (the Impreza) or the Saab 9-6X (supposed to be a Saab Tribeca)?

I just spent 30 minutes looking for articles or pictures of the 9.6X, there are a few discussion boards talking about it but no real pictures yet. It has been rumored that the 9.6X won't have 3rd row seating which would be absurd, since that is the whole reason Subaru built the B9. I haven't seen one in person but do not like the grille, but would consider the Saab with the Suby engine if it was pleasing to the eye and I needed a 7-pass vehicle. The seats in the back are ment for kids, you have to be an idiot to not figure that out. But so where the seats in my mom's 80 Ford LTD Station Wagon. I drove one of my customer's 05 Forester the other day, and it did not drive any better than our best friends 01 Forester. The platform is over 8 years old now. Meaning it drove like a small SUV. The new Toyota's and Honda's drive a lot nicer than the Forester. So I am hoping the B9 Tribeca can bring Subaru up to speed. If people will buy them.

Speaking of the SAAB models there was an article in Sunday's Boston Globe comparing the B9's overall styling with an old SAAB station wagon circa 1960. The similarities were very striking, right down to the Edsel-esque puckered grille. Scary thought...

Can't find an online link right now but will keep searching.

This link is for a 1959 model Saab that you might think resembles the Triblecha.

This is the only good pic Google produced of the 9-6X:

I also personally think this one could be fake.

Anywayz, the way we are all ragging the B9 aside, this thing might just end up being a hit. If Toyota' Scion xB can sell like hotcakes (a shoebox on wheels if I am a day old) then "odd" styling may not be as big a turnoff as so many posit.I'm just saying, is all...

THe reason the 9-6 (not 9-7, sorry I get em confused) will not have a 3rd row seat:

Safety.

Its a saab! So it has to be safe. The rear seats apparently are in part of the rear crumple zone. Do you want your kids sitting in the crumple zone? Probably not if you are a safety conscious saab owner.

If you want a 3 row saab get a wrecked suby and have them install a saab clip on the front instead of replacement subaru parts :brow: (www.franticfour.com did that with a 2002 WRX, kind of.... its got a 2004 front now)

WHAT DID YOU DO TO THAT THING?!?! i don't think i could get my girlfriend's 96 lecacy to get that milage if i tried O_O it gets something rediculous like 33mpg!

oh yeah, i don't like the b9, they looks sorta' like those gross PT-cruisers =P

My first car was a 1969 Saab 96 "sedan". The front was remarkably similar to the Triblecha.
