spinners on a suby?

Featured Replies

hey you guys this is for the people who have done the five lug conversion. but have any of you ever consider wheels with spinners? i have actually and have thought of putting them on my suby (i know i know roll the fenders first) since they are available in 18" size i would assume they would fit (of course with the proper mods). let me know your thoughts!

I think if you do it....

P.S.S. wait, no im not :P

if you do it, dont take it into public, ot take pics, or admit it. i wouldnt. spinners are the biggest waste of money, time and material ever, that and they have no place on any car. they barely look good on suv's.

Is it D/R 4WD?? If so don't do it. There are much better things to do to a Subaru. If it is just a S/R 4WD then it would almost be ok. But why not just do some engine work with the money you would put torwards spinners. Its Subaru not an Escalade. Hook it up rally style and take it off road all the time. Woo hoo!!!!!:headbang: :headbang: :headbang:

My sentiments ALMOST exactly ... I think they are hideous on SUV's ALSO.

I saw a set of spinning iron crosses on a Dodge Caravan the other day. I almost took pictures, but the minivan's owner and his kids were right there.

Anyway, spinning rims are silly on any car, but on an older Subaru, they look completely out of place. Maybe less so on a WRX, but that car has actual performance and doesn't benefit from showy hubcaps interfering with airflow across its brakes.

What is it Brad? Waiting till he does it so you know you can too!! You should beat him to it Brad, then you'll be teh coolest with the spinning of the rims and whatnot.

And... i dont think you can do it. 18" rims would be too big, but you could always get some tires like 225/10R18 or something

heeheeehee i was just kidding  . i just wanted to see if you guys would actually do it. no way on earth am i gonna spend $$$$ on something that could be stolen just like that. i know it would look horrible on a suby. but i still can't believe it. now rally! now thats what i'm talking about. i'm gonna trick it out and do this with it::burnout: . i mean it though. i just wanna smoke all the people who have laughed at me and my suby.

hahahah what a perfect time to link *this*
hmmm....not bad looking but he/she has alot of limitations with that. i really agree with Brian though.

Had I gone 6 lug instead of 4 lug I bet I could fit some 20" spinners on my camo green lifted brat

No I would NEVER do that.... may be good for a laugh though if I had a friend with a set just to install em and take afew pictures.

yeah your right. but then why the dancing banana? wussup with that?

Just having it dance because if I had bad taste I COULD fit them on if I wanted to... they wouldnt fit on most stock subes because the wheel wells are too small.

Oh, and I love using smileys too

well i can see that you love smilies also. and thats good that you have good taste.

hey, you can get 13 inch and up spinners over here, if you guys can only get them in 18 inch count yourselves lucky.

I have seen far too many early 80s toyota starlets and datsuns with ridiculous spinners on their factory wheels. Disgraceful.

I was thinking about putting a set on my boat trailer though.....
