subieman
Has anyone tried this? My DL (ea82) is overheating on the freeway so it needs a radiator bad. I have a spare Legacy radiator sitting in the shed. Looks like it would fit. The Legacy radiator has no hole for the fan switch though. Any suggestions? Thanks,
edrach
Odd, my '91 Legacy's rad would never have fit into my '86 wagon....well it might fit, but the mounting holes wouldn't match up. MorganM
Just get a two row that drops in. Legacy radiator isnt any bigger and it's still single row. Inlet / outlet orfaces are larger and youd have to make a coupler.

subynut
Just get a two row that drops in. How much thicker is the two row vs the single row? I don't have very much clearence between my water pump and electric fan, at most a half an inch.

archemitis
i have a legacy radiator in my ea82 wagon, and in my ea81 hatch. both required pretty extensive modifications. not for stock use =]
subieman
Is the turbo radiator two row? Yes the turbo radiator is a two row and I would recommend using one. I stuck a 2 row in my 84 Wagon and it won't even heat up anymore! haha

I will be zipping through reno, up 395 and stopping in Lakeview,OR late wed night. Although, with Suby being stubborn, I wonder if it would be wise to join up with your caravan. In fact, she died on me today. Started as a wandering idle, then no charge, then stumbling and dead battery. DRAT, now what??!? Almost am wondering if Suby doesn't want to goto WCSS. SUBY WHAT'S WHRONG WITH YOU!?!?!?!? ok, done venting.
